Surface Cleaning Technology

The Tornado-Channel™ is an independent cleaning module with compressed air-assisted nozzles.

It has either fixed Power nozzles (TKF 200) or rotating Tornado nozzles (TKR 200) that are designed to clean drill holes, grooves and structured surfaces. The compressed air is blown onto the subject surface where it will effectively remove dust, chips or liquids. The particles rise and are transported towards the suction connection via an integrated vacuum channel.

Single-sided cleaning:
The upper or the lower brush wipes towards the guide rail. The material, e.g. a panel will be pushed against the guide rail by the wiping forces.

 

 

Double-sided cleaning:
The upper and the lower brush both wipe towards the guide rail. The material, for instance a panel will be pushed towards the guide rail by the wiping forces.

 

Double-sided cleaning:
Upper and lower brush wipe in opposite directions. Wiping forces cancel each other out. This configuration is recommended if the subject material (e.g. a panel) is transported on a conveyor belt without a guide rail.

 

Single-sided cleaning:
The first brush always wipes towards the guide rail, the second brush wipes in the opposite direction. Wiping forces cancel each other out. This wiping direction is ideal for the single-sided cleaning of thin panels which otherwise would shift during the wiping process.

 

 

Double-sided cleaning:
Upper and lower brushes always wipe in the same direction. The first pair of brushes (1 upper and 1 lower brush) at the infeed of the machine wipes towards the guide rail. The second pair of brushes (1 upper and 1 lower brush) wipes in opposite direction. Wiping forces cancel each other out. This wiping direction is ideal for the double-sided cleaning of thin panels which otherwise would shift during the wiping process.

 

With this wiping configuration, the brushes are lifted at the material's edges. The brushes will touch the surface only after having passed the material's edge. This technique allows effective wiping processes without damaging or folding thin materials at the edges (e.g. foils).
Two brushes are placed one after the other, the brushes wipe in opposite direction. One brush touches the surfaces after having passed the material's right edge, the other brush touches the surface after having passed the material's left edge.

In the standard version, the machine is adjusted manually via a crank.

 

As an option, Wandres offers an electrical height adjustment via an actuator. Wandres recommends the use of this type of adjustment if you have panels with several different thicknesses that require cleaning.
